Do we have to cite from a book?
High Quality Refereed Sources are the best. Does not have to be from a book, but you should have a least a couple of sources that are from primary scientific literature or at least well respected journals.
Would Popular Mechanics magazine be considered a quality source?
Popular Mechanics would be a quality source as far as popular press magazines go.
A refereed engineering journal article covering the same topic would be much better.
