Group Project Jumpstart and Water Conservation

Today:
  1. Extra Credit Quiz:
    1. What were the three general categories of sources of phosphorus in Lake Champlain?
    2. How does excess phosphorus in the Lake cause problems?

  2. Group Project Jump-start: Groups met to discuss their plan of attack, identify a blogger, and identify speakers for the final presentation. Project description is linked under Course Documents. I have already sent invites to each of the group bloggers. At our next class meeting, please let me know if you did not receive your invite.

  3. Water Conservation: In the same groups for the project students discussed personal water conservation possibilities. We have completed 3 recent case studies (Aswan Dam, Hole in the Donut, and Lake Champlain) involving water. The goal of today's exercise was to demonstrate how small decisions can make a big difference in water conservation efforts.
